Happy Birthday Grandma Nufffer!!!

Another Time, Another Place

A year ago we landed in Italy. Today I think we've landed in Hell. Okay just joking, sorta. I went to bed at 6am this morning! Oh what I would do for some gelato and a quiet stroll through Piazza Navona. As I'm blogging I have Mia set up in a Boppy on my lap. Looks like it is meal time again, somebody is getting cranky. Anyway, here's a look back. What a difference a year makes! Boo.

3 Weeks Old Today

Our little lady is getting so old! Soon she'll be asking to borrow the car for the night. Yikes. On Tuesday we visited the doctor again for the stinky belly button/umbilical stump issue. Boy that smelled bad, made Mommy and Daddy gag a lot. Glad the doc was able to pull it off and the odor is gone. It won't be missed!

As of Tuesday Mia was 8lbs 11oz. She is growing like a weed! This probably explains the series of cluster feedings this week - we think she's going through a bit of a growth spurt. Pete went back to work on Monday. It's been pretty rough in the evening. Since he brings home the bacon I've been up throughout the night with her, which means NO sleep. I'll grab an hour here or there when I can, but I definitely do not sleep the way I used to. Not even close. I've never felt so loopy in my life. People say it will get better. I sure hope so. Right now she sleeps from 11pm-ish to anywhere between 3am and 5am. And then she is wide awake until about 8am and then ready to eat again within a few hours. Just as soon as I fall into REM sleep, she normally wakes up.

BUT, I've been trying everyday to reverse her day/night mix up. Last night I cried tears of joy because she was out from 11pm - 4am and then back down from 5am - 9am. I feel great today - I slept! I'm hoping little by little her schedule will start to resemble what it did last night. I'm not going to get my hopes up yet. But boy people weren't kidding when they said the first few months are brutal. There is a lot of screaming, a lot of crying and not a whole lot of anything else. Luckily we do not think she has colic. All of her fussiness so far has been consolable. Acid reflux, constipation and lactose intolerance will do that to anyone. Seems like we have a lot of these issues under control now, so she is a lot happier.

Pete has been a saint. He's been incredibly supportive, doing everything he can to make the transition better for all of us. He feels terrible when he sees me getting up in the middle of the night, but there is not much we can do about that right now. As you can see below, Pete's hard work on the job has finally paid off! So for now, we're just taking things one day at a time. And I guess it's not so bad being up at odd hours. I'm catching up on all the music videos on VH1 and MTV they don't ever show by day. Who new Spoon had a video?

Is THIS True?

Blogger perezhilton.com is reporting that Senor Castro is muerto. He is standing by this story 100%, hmmm... Let's see if we see anything soon on CNN.

Great News!

Pete was made an Associate at Avid Engineering!

First Bath and More

Not sure what to think about this...

Hey, I think I kinda like it!

Warm, relaxed and ready for bed time.

Story time with one of my favorite books.

I love my hospital binky!

Ewww nice shorts, dad!

Seriously, what is all over these shorts?

Don't I look cute in my dress?

Everyone is a little sleep-deprived around here.

For Troy :)

Happy 30th - wish we could be there!
