Well, it's been a busy couple of weeks - sorry I haven't kept up with the blog! Pete came down with a bit of a cold this week and unfortunately Mia may have gotten a little of it. Last night she was running a bit of a fever, so we were going back and forth with her pediatrician until 1:00 am deciding what to do. Since she hasn't had her immunizations yet, we were all hesitant on bringing her into the emergency room. Who knows what she could pick up in an area contaminated with germs. Luckily she kept her temperature down, so we brought her in first thing this morning to the doctor's office. Doctor Torres felt that she was okay and should just be monitored for any symptoms over the next few days. She weighs over 10 pounds now! Mommy and Daddy have been a little paranoid and worried to say the least. Do not google newborn and fever! I was having nightmares of spinal menengitis all night! But Mia is doing MUCH better today, sleeping and resting and eating all day. No more fever.
Other than this, things have been wonderful and crazy. This is by far the scariest thing we have ever done, having a kid. It is beautiful and wonderful and rewarding, but also a pain in the royal behind. We love her more than anything though, she is a perfect addition to the family. BUT, I miss sleeping, showering, enjoying lunch or dinner, watching an entire movie without having to hit pause, leaving the house... speaking of, I'd love to write more but Mamasita is waking from her nap and HUNGRY. And we all know better than to let her go a minute past food time. I'll check in again soon with more stuff!
